Gratitude
Understandably, gratitude may feel like an underrepresented emotion these days. With the world seemingly at war over far too much—-religion, land, food insecurity, drug addiction, homelessness, and more, it can be tough to create a pause in our heads and hearts to feel and then say “thank you”.
From the simplicity of “thank you” to someone holding a door for you to the universality of gratefulness for a remarkable starlit night, keeping gratitude at the forefront also helps our mental health.
It’s okay to shut off the news when it feels overwhelming. It’s important to take a moment to appreciate birds singing. It’s essential to share your gratitude with others—-you’ll even feel better for it!
Many, many thanks to ALL of you for helping us get food to older adults who need it. Now in our 25th year, HANDS could never have become what it has without your support. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
During this season of gratitude and giving, may you find some delightful moments of sharing and caring that touch your heart with warmth and love. We all need it now more than ever.
