HANDS In The Dirt

Due to COVID, we had to cancel all of our in-person gardening programs in 2020. We were still able to donate plants to a number of our sites, fortunately, so that their gardens could still prosper.

We are so pleased that gardening expert Charlie Nardozzi and CCTV Town Meeting TV/Channel 17 are partnering with us to provide “HANDS in the Dirt” online programs until we can be back in the garden. Workshops will also be found on our website, at https://www.cctv.org, and on Town Meeting TV/Channel 17 shortly afterwards. The schedule is as follows, on Wednesdays at 10:00am via Zoom. If you’d like to join us, please email handsvt@gmail.com to receive the link.

February 17, “Growing Culinary Herbs Indoors”

March 17, “Seed Starting Indoors”

April 21, “Companion Planting”

May 26, “All About Tomatoes”

June 16, “Organic Pest Controls: Part 1: Early Summer”

July 21, “Organic Pest Controls: Part 2: Mid Summer”

August 18, “Planting for Fall”

September 15, “Putting Food By”

Very special thanks to AARP Vermont, CCTV Town Meeting TV, Gardeners Supply, Charlie Nardozzi, Red Wagon Plants, and Vermont Community Gardening Network for partnering with us!

Here are some of Charlie’s videos. Enjoy!
